Welcome to Technical Design

This class will give you the opportunity to participate in TSA competitions at the regional, state, and national level. We will following best engineering practices by defining goals, prioritizing tasks, assigning tasks, and reporting status for each month. Students will be assessed on the quality of their process, status reports, and resulting product.

Students who have not earned their Autodesk Fusion certification will be encouraged to complete this task.

You will also have the opportunity to earn Google Professional Certificates. These certificates introduce students to IT Support, Data Analytics, Project Management, UX Design, and Automation with Python. If you complete one of these certificates, Google will give you interview preparation resources and access to a recruiter.

Units

1. Introduction to engineering challenges: Students will design and create objects to solve challenges.
2. Introduction to the engineering process: Student will practice defining goals, prioritizing tasks, assigning tasks, and reporting status.
3. TSA Projects: Students will form teams, select TSA projects, complete these projects, and be encouraged to compete at the TSA events.
